Description

The Moon was bright last night, so I decided to re0mage M82. Since it is in Ursa Major, it is far from the Moon.

M82 is a starburst irregular galaxy. Both the irregular nature and the enhanced tsar formation are probably due to interactions with it's neighbor M81 (Bode's Galaxy).

M82 has about 30 billion stars and is about 5 times more luminous than our Milky Way.

I utilized PixInsight's HDRMultiscaleTransform to enhance the contrast and MultiscaleLinearTransform to bring out the details.
